The 26th Annual Portland Old Time Music Gathering is a 4 Day event that includes a Cajun/Honky Tonk show on Thursday night at the Spare Room Restaurant and Lounge, a concert with legendary old time and Bluegrass artist Alice Gerrard along with Jerron Paxton on Friday night at the Alberta Abbey. Saturday includes a full day of workshops, concerts, jams, square dancing, singing sessions, kids' events and a huge square dance Saturday night.  The Sunday Cabaret takes place at the Spare Room Restaurant and Lounge and there are neighborhood jams from Wednesday to Sunday.

Portland’s own Latin Rock Exchange plays Latin rock classics that we all know and love. From Santana, War, Barrabas, Yesca, The Buena Vista Social Club, Jobim, Bublé, a dash of Pink Martini and some contemporary hits, always with a Latin percussion flavor. High energy for every special event. Imagine Santana meets Pink Martini with electric guitar and introducing our new horn section.

Son de Cuba plays different genres including Salsa, Timba, Son, Merengue, Bolero, Cumbia, Bachata, and Latin Jazz. With only five performers, they have a full sound and will draw a crowd ith their energy, joy, and love of music. Dancing is encouraged and they may even join you!

The Alberta Abbey will partner with the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive to benefit people living with Sickle Cell Anemia. Most of whom are African-American. Patients suffering from this disease often require frequent blood transfusions with closely matched red blood cell antigens. Due to the variety of inherited red blood cell antigens, the most compatible blood donations come from African-American donors.

While this drive is intended to increase donations from African Americans in Portland, it is OPEN TO ALL DONORS. And, all participants will receive an Amazon Gift for donating.
